A blend of attitude, style, and urban movement, authentic vernacular jazz is a dance form deeply rooted in African American culture. Its expressions—Lindy Hop, Charleston, and Solo Jazz—originated as a social dance in Harlem, New York, during the vibrant swing era of the late 1920s. For the past decade, I have been teaching jazz steps to aspiring dancers across three cities, always with radiating passion and overflowing joy.
